Banji is at the absolute lowest point of his life. Wandering aimlessly while enduring starvation, fate reunites him with Tohan, an old friend who immediately invites him home and offers a plate of rice. However, that warmth shatters into a harsh reality when Banji learns the bitter truth: Tohan was recently laid off, his sibling is severely ill, and they survive solely by selling handmade teddy bears. Overwhelmed with guilt for consuming Tohan's precious food, Banji is instead gifted two teddy bears as a lifeline to rebuild his life.
