Yetno, a man who was not yet established and had nothing to his name, recklessly married Siti. Yetno believed that after marriage, happiness and prosperity would come naturally. Decades passed after Yetno and Siti’s marriage, but the life they’d hoped for never materialized; instead, they faced nothing but a string of misfortunes and abject poverty. Yetno realized that all of this was due to a mistake he’d made in the past. Eventually, he gave up on life and chose to take his own life.
